Cord Garcia Wins First-ever WSOP "the Colossus"

WSOPWithin the series WSOP 2015 the winner of the first and cheapest tournament in the history of the World Series of Poker has been determined - "the Colossus". Four starting days, an entry fee of only $565 with the possibility of re-entry collected 22'374 registrations. The prize fund exceeded the guaranteed $5 million more than twice - $11'187'000. The organizers earned for the tournament $1'454'310 ($65 from each entrance.) And here is the winner, who became the 25-year-old Cord Garcia received only $638'880 (5.7% of the total prize money), which caused a wave of indignation among many professionals.

For example, last year the winner of the tournament Jonathan Dimmig Millionaire Maker Winner received $1'319'587, which is over 12%.

Another negative side of this tournament was the fact that the players (2'241 prize places) stood in long queues to get their winnings.
