A unique tournament was held as part of a new series WPT500 in the casino ARIA Resort & Casino... The event with a $565 buy-in and a guarantee of $1 million had 3,599 registrations. The tournament started a day before the start of the 2014 WSOP Main Event and was designed for those who will not take part in such an expensive tournament, as well as for those who will be eliminated from the main. The WPT500 had six starting days to attract the maximum number of players from the ending WSOP series. 
Sean yu, for whom the prize money of $260 thousand became the largest in his career.
In third place is Scott Clements, who made five prizes at the 2014 WSOP, while finishing second in the #48 tournament.

The finalists received a nice bonus from the organizers, who announced that the tournament will be repeated next summer, and all finalists will be paid for the buy-in and accommodation. The winner additionally received a package worth $2'000 for the next WPT500 tournament, which will be held at Dusk Till Dawn, located in 
Nottingham, November 11-16.
