On Monday Full Tilt Poker announced a new series of high roller tournaments called Onyx Cup... The series will host six tournaments with contributions ranging from $100'000 to $300'000. As part of the Onyx Cup series, two tournaments will be held in America, Europe and Asia.
The buy-in to the Grand Final will be $250'000. In addition, the top 3 players in each tournament will receive points that will determine the Onyx Cup champion and the owner of a luxury car.
The first tournament will take place on May 11-12 at Las Vegas, a week before WSOP 2011... Participation in the first Onyx Cup tournament has already been confirmed by such players as John juanda, Howard lederer, Chris ferguson, Erick lindgren and Erik seidel.
But that's not all. Despite the fact that only the best of the best players on the planet will be able to take part in the tournament, everyone will be able to qualify for FullTiltPoker and win a paid participation in one of the Onyx Cup series tournaments.
