The final stage of the eighth season of the World Poker Tour took place from 18 to 24 April at 
Las Vegas. Casino Bellagio hosted 195 participants in the main tournament of the entire season - WPT Championship, the entry fee for which is $25'000. The total prize fund was $4'728'750 of which $1'530'537 went to the winner - David Williams... Second place went to Eric Baldwin and his win was $1'034'715. Left the tournament in ninth place
