Daniel Craker wins APPT in Auckland

For the first time, the APPT tour stopped at New Zealand, and immediately the local player celebrated the victory.

Already in the second hand of a heads-up duel against Matthew Konnecke, Daniel Craker managed to snatch the victory. After raising Konnecke, the New Zealander moved all in for 2-2which was accepted by the opponent with A-9... On a classic coin flip the flop is K-10-6, the turn is a five of spades, and the river is Q made the New Zealander richer by 257.040 NZD. Runner-up Konnecke was forced to settle for 162.791 NZD.

Daniel Craker also knocked out Wang Jung. The flop is 9-2-3 Jung bet all-in, Daniel, suspecting a bluff, called on 8-8... He was right: Jung's hand K-6 did not improve on the turn and river (3, J).

The duel between Wang Jung and Dan Sing was dramatic. Sing raised with K-Q, then the leading Jung accepted the bet with J-10... Flop 10-7-A forced Sing to make a continuation bet, which Jung accepted with middle pair. The turn brought Sing's coveted jack, and after an artificial pause he made a second bet. Jung called all-in to this bet. The opponent's nuts did not cause much delight in him, which cannot be said about J, which appeared on the river, complementing his winning Full House. This is how Dan Sing said goodbye to the tournament in 4th place, earning NZD 59.976.

The final day was not successful for the leading one after the first and second days Nathanael Seet. He first caught a badbeed against 5th place Luke Stanford - his A-K lost Q-10... Up until the river, everything was going well for Seet, but the queen fell on the river and his opponent was able to double up. Then he himself is all-in on Q-5, he caught a queen on the river, but she gave a straight to Wang Jung A-10 and knocked him out of the tournament.

The next APPT event will take place in Manila, with the Oakland winner already qualifying for the Sydney Main Event.
