There aren't that many poker movies, but they're all great. To increase their number, director Gil Cates Jr. decided to shoot a film called "Deal". Burt Reynolds and Bret Harrison played the main roles in it.
The film follows a professional poker player teaching a desperate college student to play poker. But after some trouble, they both compete against each other in the World Poker Tour Championship.
Filming will begin in April in New Orleans. In addition to the main characters, the film will feature Shannon Elizabeth and Charles Durning alongside renowned professional players such as Phil "The Unabomber" Laak, Antonio "The Magician" Esfandari and Vince Van Patton.
