Buying the maximum buy-in for no-limit commercial games

While there are a number of benefits to playing with a shot stack, experienced and confident players will undoubtedly benefit from playing with the maximum chip count, which is usually 100 big blinds. That is, in a no-limit game with 1/2-dollar bets, this amount will be $ 200. I usually buy as many chips as possible for three main reasons, which I will outline below.

1. You can make more money this way.

The first reason for the maximum purchase is purely material gain. If you have a lot of chips in front of you, you can win big pots in less time. And since all online poker tables and casino gaming rooms work with chips on the table, you can win as much money as is in front of you. If you are playing with a winning combination with an opponent who has managed to collect $ 400 by this time, then with a stack of $200, you will go all-in and win $400. And with a stack of $40, you can only win $80. If your funds don't limit you in your bets, the easiest way to add value to your game is to play with a big stack.

2. Strength, image and skill level.

I remember Johnny Chan once said, "Poker is war, and chips are your soldiers." And usually, victory in a war or battle goes to the one on whose side there are more soldiers. Create the largest army on the table. Chips and position are strengths in Hold'em, and you should try to make the most of them. A large stack can also scare your opponents much more than a dull stack of chips. And all of this applies equally to commercial and tournament games. Because when a winning player sits down at a table with an adequate bankroll, it immediately becomes clear to everyone that he is not so simple at all. You show them that you are serious and they will try to avoid collisions with you for fear of being overwhelmed. Plus, if you feel like you are superior to most, if not all, opponents, you can win more of their chips with a solid stack.

3. Comfort and ability to assemble a combination.

From time to time, I do not feel comfortable playing with a shot stack (for the reasons described in my previous article). When you are low on chips, you constantly fight the blinds and comfort yourself with the hope of buying a monster. And even if you win one or two pots by going all-in, you won't make much money. Conversely, a solid stack allows you to play many rounds regardless of the blinds. You can be more meticulous about choosing hands with which to start fighting and participate in playing big pots when you are completely confident in yourself. Also, you will be able to more actively play double-sided straights or unfinished flushes without fear that it can knock you down or force you to go all-in. If you feel like you have enough skill to play no-limit commercial games, if you plan to spend enough time at the table and are not in the mood to be torn between blinds and all-in moves, I strongly recommend not skimping on buy-ins. With its help, you can not hold back, choosing a strategy of the game, make a strong impression on your opponents and earn the most money in the shortest time. Remember that you only need to win one powerful hand for the session to be very profitable. Be patient and play only those cards and situations that can take you to the top.
