The first stage of the 2011 RPT season starts in February

Russian Poker TourThe first stage will take place on February 3-11 Russian Poker Tour season 2011. The venue will be Kiev, hotel "Rus". The Main Event with a buy-in of $2'500 and a guaranteed prize pool will take place on February 6 $400’000... On February 8, the participants will see the second major tournament with a deep structure and smooth growth of the blinds - the Grand Event. The buy-in for this tournament will be $900, and the guarantee will be $200'000.

The main novelty of the RPT stage in Kiev is a one-on-one tournament - Russian Heads'Up Battle... The organizers went to meet the players, who believed that this format was lacking in the Russian series. The buy-in for the tournament will be $700.

Another novelty in Kiev will be the short-handed Omaha tournament. Omaha is rapidly gaining popularity in the CIS, and now fans of this game will have the opportunity to prove themselves in a major tournament.

Also the founder of RPT - Eric Shahbazyan, noted a few more novelties that affected the gaming moments:

1. All tournaments by default start as 9max (ie where 6max is not specified), starting from the second day the transition to 8max (ie the second and subsequent days Main and Grand will be in 8max format, except for the final table) ... It is high time to introduce this format to our tournaments, and to the world ones too.

2. When registering late to Main and Grand, the player receives the starting stack, not the stack - minus the eaten blinds. This proposal was made Alexander Kravchenko, which makes sense - and we supported it.
