Due to the unfavorable ratio of the number of dealers to players, the organization of such a tournament becomes a costly event. This fully applies to the heads-up World Championship, which will start tomorrow in Barcelona. However, the heads-up championship organizers are not complaining. All 128 tickets were sold out quickly.
The format of the event is as follows. First, on October 21 and 22, the players will be divided into 4 groups for games, during which half of the playing field will be eliminated.
In the next two days, the number of players in the tournament will be cut fourfold. And on October 25, the final table of the heads-up game will be determined.
This format of the competition is designed to provide a high level of entertainment for the games taking place. The prize pool of more than € 300,000 will be distributed among the top sixteen winners. The first prize will be 125,000 euros - there is something to fight for!
