Jason Mercier wins EPT London millionaire

After two days of play and repeated doubles, the champion of San Remo Jason mercier defeated the playing field of 85 strongest competitors and won the high roller tournament of the European Poker Tour.

In addition to Jason, stars such as Phil Ivey paid £ 20,000 each for the tournament. Daniel Negreanu, Guus Hansen and WSOPE Main Event winner John Juanda.

David Benjamin was unable to maintain his chip lead for long. He bet his entire stack on K-J and lost to Michael Watson who held A-A... Community Cards 8-7-10-Q-7 Benjamin was left on the table in 8th place (£ 69,000).

In seventh place was Masaaki Kagawa (£ 86,000) who lost Comparison A-Q with A-K.

Isaac Haxton reraises Juanda and puts all-in on 8-8... But Juanda showed a pair of aces, which turned into a set on the flop. For his 6th place, Haxton received 103,000.

Scotty Nguyen was Juanda's next victim. And he put all-in after Juanda's raise. The opponents revealed the following cards: Scotty A-10, Juanda K-9... J-7-6-A-Jwhich meant a suit for Juanda and 5th for Scotty (£ 137,000).

Jason Mercier knocked out with a pair of twos Peter Jetten with his A-J... The following cards were dropped - Q-2-A-A-4and Jetten received £ 189,000 in prize money.

Michael Watson bet all his chips on A-7 and was knocked out of the tournament by Juanda A-K... Third place earned Watson £ 241,000.

By the beginning of the heads-up game, Juanda had a significant chip lead.

But the Mercier doubled and doubled. In the final hand Juanda raised preflop and Mercier re-raised all-in. Juanda thought a bit and answered with A-J on hands. Mercier opened his hand to Q-K...
