Today at Monte carlo the grand opening took place European Poker Tour Grand Final... This tournament is the final competition of the European Poker Series. The buy-in of the tournament is $14'000. More than 700 poker players decided to try their hand at the tournament.
Out of 392 participants of the first game day, 180 people went to the second round. Among the losers were Phil Ivey, Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson, Erick lindgren, Andreas Krause, Ben grundy.
Also, the first winner of the 2005 grand final, the Dutchman, did not make it to the second round Rob hollink... Rob moved all-in with A-8 and was knocked out by a full house.
After 12 hours of playing time, both those leaving the tournament and the leaders of the tournament were determined.
