The group stage has ended World Cup of Poker 2006, which we wrote about earlier. The remaining 16 teams will go through another qualifying round on May 20, which will eliminate exactly half of the teams. Lushie 8 will receive tickets to the final in 
Barcelona, where the 2006 champion team will be determined.

Costa Rica failed to qualify for the group stage and are eliminated from further competition. Unfortunately, none of the countries participating in the former CIS, which took part in the tournament, also could not pass the group stage.
