And now, exactly one year later, the IFP achieved the recognition of poker as an &quot;intellectual game&quot;, along with bridge and chess.<\/p>\n<p>Poker will add to the list of disciplines within <strong>World Mind Sport Games<\/strong>, which will be held in parallel with the London 2012 Olympics. The World Mind Sport Games were held for the first time after the 2008 Summer Olympics in five disciplines - chess, bridge, go, checkers and xiangqi (Chinese chess). <\/p>\n<p>President of the International Association of Intellectual Games (IAIG) - Jose Damiani said: \u201cI am delighted to welcome the International Federation of Poker as a member of the IAIG.
