And he was right by winning the first tournament of the series <a href=\"\/en\/1005.html\/\">WSOPE 2011<\/a> &#8212; <em>\u20ac 2&#039;500 6-Max No Limit Hold&#039;em<\/em>who brought him <strong>\u20ac215&#8217;999<\/strong> prize money. The 26-year-old Swiss was better than 360 participants. In heads-up he beat <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" width=\"18\" height=\"12\" src=\"..\/img\/flags\/jp.gif\" data-lightbox=\"gallery\"  alt=\"\"> <strong>Azusa maeda<\/strong>thus depriving him of the opportunity to become the first Japanese to win a WSOP title.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/img\/photos\/guilluame_humbert.jpg\" alt=\"Guilluame humbert\" title=\"Guilluame humbert\" class=\"photo\" border=\"0\"><br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" width=\"18\" height=\"12\" src=\"..\/img\/flags\/us.gif\" alt=\"\"> <strong>Phil Hellmuth<\/strong> was very close to increasing his WSOP bracelet count to 12, but was eliminated on the bubble before the final table.
